Kapiti Basketball Association

The purpose is to make basketball the sport of choice for the residents of Kapiti. The aim is to create a youth centric basketball program in the Kapiti region to increase both sport participation rates and healthy development of the area's youth. In addition, KBA’s has a strong focus on increasing youth access to representative basketball both at a regional and national level.

KBA has forged a strong partnership with Hoop Club Kapiti, to facilitate and improve participation rates and to nurture the regions basketball talent.

Representative basketball is a core function KBA that is designed to be a level above secondary school’s basketball, to fit within the BBNZ competitive basketball structure. KBA aims to provide boys and girls opportunities to take part in representative teams across age groups.

Hoop Club Kapiti - A fun club for Boys and Girls of all skill levels, age 5 to 17 years. Held on Sunday mornings at Paraparaumu College, Mazengarb Road, Paraparaumu.

KBA Representative Teams - KBA Reps is for athletes who are committed to further development of their skills and who are serious about playing basketball at a higher level.

Women’s Open Run

The open run for women will run for ten consecutive Sundays from 3 April through to 5 June 2016 as a trial, from 4pm - 5.30pm. Entry will be $5 per person.
